About

Omega's Edge is a space opera web novel written by A.C. Carpenter. The story details the critical events of an ongoing interstellar war between the United Empyreal Federation and the Planetary Democratic Republic:

Embroiled in a 107-year war, no one alive today in the Federation or the PDR was around for its beginning, but a few key players think they can see its end. Now, commanders, politicians, and civilians on both sides risk everything on desperate gambits, forcing a conflict that has consumed generations toward a cataclysmic reckoning that will change the galaxy forever. Will the war finally end, or is it meant to go on, and on, and on...?

The genre is space opera, told in the tradition of speculative political realism; this is neither hard sci-fi nor military sci-fi. This is an epic story in length and scope, featuring long, novel-length chapters (6k-12k words). It is written for immersion and depth over update frequency. There is no set schedule for when new chapters will be published. This project is strictly a labor of love.
